USPS review by Frustrated Customer

I went to the Post Office in my neighborhood, Baltimore, MD 21230. When it was my turn to do a shipping return for a cellphone that needed to be sent to its carrier, I told the postal worker that I needed to return something. She rudely replied with “woot you mean!!” while looking at me as if she had no clue about what I was trying to do. I clarified to her that I needed to return the boxed cellphone that had never been opened and still in its original packaging. She then instructed me to grab one of the package padded envelopes on the rack behind me. I asked which one and she said any kind with padding that would fit the box I was returning. I asked the pricing and she rudely replied again by telling me I had to look at the pricing by each package option. She was not very helpful and didn’t give any direction on pricing or options. This is bad service to any new customer who has never went into a post office to mail or ship anything. This is poor service for such a popular worldwide company that everyone relies on for mail. This employees poor attitude and terrible etiquette will definitely cause customers to reroute to other shipping companies, even if it costs more. My experience at the local UPS store in the same zip code was such a more pleasant and streamlined experience. Having employees like the rude one who did my shipping order will only continue to make matters worse for the post office!!!!

  • Package missing in Memphis distribution center which seems to be a problem area as it happened before. Last scanned on Oct 18th. Nobody knows anything or to do anything to help. Package research case and missing mail searches are a joke.

  • Ordered an item from Malaysia, got to the California in just a few days. Disappeared in Memphis on Oct 18th, now it's nov 22nd. Nobody knows anything or wants to help. Online Package research case and missing mail searches are a joke. And they want to raise rates again?

  • Package marked as delivered by a gov agency without a picture of proof. Then I have to research and call several numbers to verify led to a paid app that is also unhelpful to track down a package coming from a few states over. Still no human to speak to. The package is likely 2 miles away at the post office and I will wait several days instead of being allowed to just pick it up.
