Why dose Canada post need a credit card # to track a package

I shipped a parcel from Halifax NS to Kingston ON. While monitoring the tracking, I saw the parcel had passed through Montreal. The next time ut was scanned, it reported that it was in Edmonton Alberta. The site does say that the routing will be decides on efficiency, but thus one has me stumped. I contacted them by live chat to inquire about this, but all they said it was a mistake in the can, and there was nothing they could do. I've been checking up on my package, but despite being there 3 days, it still shows Edmonton. I have verified the correct postal code from my receipt and tracking number. I hope it finds its proper destination.

Never delivered on time

Fuel surcharge fee is a scam. Government funded postal offices should be exempt from price hikes. Our liberal government is scamming us all.

This service is a joke. No tracking whatsoever for over a day

Tomorrow is my exam..I haven't got my parcel yet (book). The expected delivery was shown December 8...Now its December 15. Canada Post is super slow than a tortoise.

Big thank you to Canada Post for shipping our parcel out to our grandkids in New Zealand. The parcel has been delivered on Dec. 12 which is almost like 10 days earlier than the anticipated date. God bless and Merry X'mas to our grandkids and everyone who reads this message.

I receive frequent packages and Canada Post has always delivered on time if not early and I have always been able to track my packages easily.

I would not used them. My order got picked up monday and it said it will be deliver Wednesday 15. Now it says 2 more days. Plus my product was sitting 2 days in brampton for no reason........ i bet it wont even show friday

Paid for expedited shipping to send a .498 kg. Parcel to Kansas. Posted on December 5 and specifically asked if it would arrive by the 9th. I was told that the expedited shipping of $26.57 would get it there by then. When I checked the status the update showed it would not arrive until December 12 th. After speaking to customer service on line, was told sorry for the inconvenience. Next update stated it should arrive by today, December 14. Still not there. Sad part is that it was a gift for a celebration of life and a picture to go in the coffin. The funeral is over, the families have returned to their homes and the package is ???. I am extremely angry and sad that Canada Post cannot uphold their agreement.
