I made a mistake and mailed a parcel to an address. I mistakenly sent it to a 247 house number instead of 427. Readily admit that this part is my mistake. However, as per my Canada Post receipt, my shipping cost was based on the postal code. Even though I used the wrong house #, the package had the proper postal code. To me, when the house # did not match the postal code, Canada Post had an obligation to hold the parcel and notify the Sender....which they did not. The people who received the package won't give it up and I blame Canada Post for not living up to the shipping details which were BASED ON THE POSTAL CODE NOT A STREET ADDRESS.

Sent a package from Vancouver to Toronto last on 15 Aug. just checked status today and the package is still in Vancouver. Pretty slow. If this is Express Mail, I can imagine the delay for a regular mail.

Canada post is great packages usually come on time or even earlier then expected. Delays and cutoffs are the worst though and we don’t give enough credit to Canada post and the great work they do to deliver us our mail on time .
