SAIA reviews

Well, I've read a number of these reviews and I can't believe SAIA is still in business. 40 years in logistics, stayed away from SAIA for a number of reasons, but had a new furnace and a/c shipping out of Dayton, Oh free freight so distributor selected SAIA. Order was picked up Thursday 7-9-20. Problem 1 started when the terminal forgot to put the pallet on the line truck heading towards Mpls, Mn. Problem #2, the next day Friday, they scrambled to get it on next line truck so it was loaded without identification, you can guess where this is going, yes, they lost the shipment between Ohio and Mn. Very helpful SAIA customer service rep sent out an APB to all terminals across the NATION to look in the trailers and terminals for a pallet containing furnace and AC unit. I can't believe they didn't scan that shipping number attached to the pallet to verify what trailer it needed to go on. Poor shipping procedures, outdated customer service software, poor performance, poor reviews, it all adds up to disappointing the customer.

Always late and always lame excuses.

Why are the normal two day shipments taking 7 days?

Will I recommend your company for transport. “No” your shipping tracking need up grading and delivery needs to be prompt.

Package was to be delivered between 13:00- 16:00. Already 18:00, no call. I might just have to pick my own package at terminal. Don’t understand how a company can charge $500.00 for freight that is less than 10 hrs. a way and miss delivery time.

Don’t understand how a company can charge $500.00 in freight for item that weights 300lbs. Item still at transfer terminal fora destination less than 10 hours.

Worst service ever. Had appointment for 12-6pm today. It’s 7 and no show. If you check web, says I have appt. check customer service via phone, says freight is at destination terminal waiting on me to make an appt, so take your pick. Automated phone service runs you around in circles. This company is a joke.
